Series

Current is constant in series

• Voltage drops across each resistor in series

  • Both defined with ohms law $V=IR$

• Resistors are added easily by just adding them

  • $R_{eq}={\sum }_{i=1}^k{R}_i$

Parallel

Voltage is constant in parallel

• Current drops when splitting into each path way

  • $V=IR$

• Resistors are added by inverting them and then adding then inverting again

  • $\frac{1}{R_{eq}}={\sum }_{i=1}^k\frac{1}{R_i}$
